Glitz

Genetics: Gli

Glitz creates randomised spots over the body.

They can appear like Dalmatians.

Glitz can also imitate a flecking type of marking.

You can use dark grey, black, off-white and white for these dots along side the shades of your base colour.

Examples of Gene

Coverage

Glitz needs to cover at least 30% of the body, whether it is between other markings, in an area of its own or covering the whole body.

These spots must be between 10px and 50px. No bigger or no smaller.

There is no specific positioning for this gene to appear as long as you meet the 30% requirement over the body.

Glitz can create what we call 'effects'. These are different types of ways that you can create your glitz marking.
You can merge these effects into the design.

Here are some examples of these 'effects' that you can do with glitz as the 'spots' does not always have to be circular.

Dalmatian Effect

Glitz can imitate the spots that can be found on the dalmatian dog.
These spots must be circular or oval in shape.
These must be solid in colour and should not have any gradual circles outside the main circle.

They can not have any pointed edges like the Merle gene has.

If you have fur textures, ensure that you keep it to a minimum. If you have skin texture you can blur the edges very slightly.

Gradient

Glitz also has a gradient effect on the spots however it must be subtle and enough to look like it has blended with the undersides of the body or the back of the arms.

Meaning that you would need to either erase or pick the base colour or accents colour and blend the spots into the body itself.

The gradient can not go from one point of the body to another, for example head to tail.

You must make the gradient starting from the top of the back going down to its stomach and follow that horizontal gradient throughout the body.

Glitz and Reversal

Reversal mimics the gradient effect. However it ends up making a gradient effect on the body with the 'erased' holes within the gradient.

This would mimic like the roan or dapple markings on horses.

This gradient colour must be white.

Glitz and Spectral OR Dual Tone

Spectral and Dual tone can create a 'polka dot' look to the spots.
