Genetics: Mas

Masked creates the dark to black markings on the face and on the paws.
Masked is very similar to what you can find on huskies and wolves.
The shapes are up to designer choice.
The marking must be darker than the base coat to black.

Edge restrictions
Minimum Coverage
​
This marking should cover at minimum at least 10% of the face.
You are not required to put masked on the paws.
Below are some examples of what we mean by minimum coverage.
Masked with Marking Modifiers

Reversal does not affect Masked at all.
Spectral does not affect Masked at all.
Dual Tone does not affect Masked at all.
Masked with Accents

Masked can go above or under Accents.
It can also do both under and over Accents.

Usually the markings around the head and muzzle are under Accents whilst markings under the eye, around the lips and nose area tends to be above Accents.
However, Masked is designer choice and you do not have to follow this.
This is just a tip for a more natural look to Masked.
