Aura
Genetics: Aur

Aura is a soft edge marking that dilutes the base coat creating a 'misty' or 'cloudy' affect over the body.

This can be both lighter or darker than the base coat colours.

You can have a maximum of 2 colour layerings.

Both can be either lighter or darker. Or you can have 1 lighter layer and 1 darker layer.

Coverage

Aura should cover at minimum of 30% of the body.

Aura does not really have any 'start' point and appears randomly over the body.

Aura should appear randomly over the body. You can imitate markings such as tabby swirls or stripes.

You can also create a 'cloud' like marking over the body.

How to do Aura

Aura can be designed in multiple ways. Here we show the simplest way to draw Aura.

You can use a soft brush and draw in your own markings, but this is a more basic way..

Step 1:

Draw your Stripes and swirls onto the body

Step 2:

You will then need to use your blur tool or use the filter 'gaussian blur' to blur your edges enough to mimic a cloudy effect over the body.

Aura with Spectral

Spectral can allow you to use colours in the Spectral ranges.

Spectral also allows you to apply a bonus of 2 more tones of colours to use.

Lighter or darker ranges are your choice.

Aura with Dual Tone

Dual Tone can create gradients in your cloudy affect.

If you have both Dual tone and Spectral, you do not gain the bonus extra 2 layerings of colours.

When you use Dual Tone, you would need to make sure that you have the gradients at the same place and at the same amounts on both layers of your 'misty' effect.

Aura with Reversal

Reversal does not affect Aura at all.
