Dual Tone

Genetics: Duo

Dual Tone is more of a modifier than a marking.
Dual Tone has different ways that it can affect markings or just the basecoat.

Dual Tone can create gradation on markings or make them appear multi-toned.

Dual tone needs to have a linear unless stated otherwise within markings guides.

General Gradation

Whilst Free Marking allows you to have a very slight gradation on the body, Dual tone allows this gradation to become more visibly on the body.

The gradation can go any direction with Dual Tone.

The gradation can start at any point of the body, however it can not start from the middle of the body and go outwards.

X Do Not Do

Dual tone should not have any holes or gaps in the marking.

Dual tone should not have 'sections'. All of the gradation should be connected.

Markings Dual Tone can Affect

Here is a list of markings that Dual Tone can affect.

How it affects the markings is written within each of the guides.

If it does not state a specific rule for Dual Tone, it can not affect the marking and you would need to use Dual Tone in another marking or like stated above that it creates the gradient on the body to become more visible.

If the marking is not stated here, Dual Tone can not affect that marking!
